Parul Chauhan began her acting career with a breakthrough role as Ragini Sharma in the popular TV show Sapna Babul Ka…Bidaai from 2007 to 2010. Her performance in the show earned her several awards, including the Indian Telly Award, Indian Television Academy Award, and the Gold Award for Best Debut in 2008.
In 2009, she participated in the dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 3, where she reached the 8th position. She went on to appear in shows like Rishton Se Badi Pratha, Punar Vivah – Ek Nayi Umeed, and Meri Aashiqui Tum Se Hi, further establishing her presence in Hindi television.
From 2016 to 2019, she played the role of Swarna Goenka in the long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She left the show in 2019 as she felt it was too early to play a grandmother at that stage in her life.
